Sunday Services

Welcome to St Martin's Church, Liskeard.

9:30 Services in the lower church hall: A more traditional church service with Choir and a Choral setting and teaching.

The pattern of service through the month is:

1st Sunday: Holy Communion
2nd Sunday: Morning Prayer
3rd Sunday: Morning Prayer
4th Sunday: Holy Communion

11:00 Morning Praise Services in the upper church hall: Our modern service will usually follow this pattern or similar: Welcome, Children's Worship, Sung Worship (during which the children go to their groups), Prayers, Bible Reading, Talk and Sung Worship to finish. On the 3rd Sunday we have communion. Coffee is served from 10.30am and you are welcome to help yourself to a refill throughout the service. We aim to finish by 12.15pm.

There are separate children's and youth activities at each of these services, with both groups leaving after the opening songs and an brief introduction. There is also matting and toys for parents with babies and toddlers. The children and youth re-join us before the end of the service.

5th Sunday: United benefice service- in the upper church hall at 10:30. This will be the only service in the morning.

6.00 p.m. Evening Service The 6 o’clock services vary considerably. They include: • An Evening Prayer Service - a reflective time using different styles of prayer. • Holy Communion with the Healing Ministry. • Praise Service (once every three months) - informal worship led by a group of musicians, teaching and opportunity for personal prayer. • Choral Evening Prayer. • Special services, such as those based around music from Taize or worshipping with the Psalms • Combined services with other denominations through Liskeard Churches Together
