Gathering of like minded people who are happy to beg, borrow and not quite steal anything which may be recycled or used to make items to sell raising funds for Shelterbox and occasionally other local charities. The group is aimed at anyone who has time and energy to be sewing, knitting crocheting or anything else which will produce saleable items. Skills not essential as anyone can participate in some way. Ability to chatter a lot a definite asset!

Liskeard Silver Band is based in South East Cornwall with a history going back over 150 years. The band is always looking to the future and is currently recruiting new players – players aged 7-70+ welcome.
Meets from 7.30-9.30 pm on Monday and Friday evenings in the Salvation Army Citadel Hall in Church Street, Liskeard. There is also a training/junior band that meets at 6.15-7.15 pm on Friday evenings. Free tuition and a brass instrument is provided to members who are encouraged to join in and participate in the traditional town events such as the carnival, floral dance, Remembrance Parade, Liskeard Lights Up and Christmas carols.

Liskeard Ladies Cycle Group aims to provide a safe and friendly environment for women who would like to try group cycling. Everyone is welcome, we try to make sure that rides are sociable and help our riders develop confidence for riding on the roads. We always cycle at the pace of our slower members and our cafe stops are a key feature of our rides.
Saturday morning rides are on the first Saturday of each month, leaving from The Parade, Liskeard PL14 6AW at 9.00am. All rides include a cafe stop for some well deserved tea and cake! Rides are about 20 miles in length. When riders feel confident enough, they can participate in our Liskeard Velo rides and our Wednesday evening social rides too.

Liskeard’s Creative relaxation sessions for children and young people help to build a child’s personal resilience, teaching vital life skills to help them as they grow and develop socially and emotionally.
There are fortnightly sessions on Saturdays at Liskeard Methodist Church Hall. Early years foundation stage runs from 10:00 to 10:30; and key stage 1 & 2 runs from 11:00 to 12:00. The teens and young adults (11 – 18 years) sessions are on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00pm, again at Liskeard Methodist Church Hall.

The scouts aim to get the kids involved in events such as camping, rock climbing, trips. They also try and get the kids to help plan the events so they feel more in control.
